About Paul Engelien
Career highlights past and present
Paul Engelien is a professional pilot based in Henderson, Nevada, just outside Las Vegas. He has worked for Cirrus Aviation in Las Vegas as a check airman since joining the company in 2018. In this position he manages charter operations throughout North America while piloting various aircraft, including the Hawker 900XP private jet. Before joining Cirrus Aviation, Paul Engelien spent nearly 25 years with the United States Air Force. His activities with the Air Force included an aircraft commander position at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada, during which time he flew missions in destinations such as Afghanistan, Iraq, and Antarctica flying various military aircraft. He earned six Air Medals for flying in combat zones.
Paul Engelien has additional experience as a personal pilot for professional sports franchises in the National Basketball Association and the National Hockey League. He is a member of the United States Soaring Association. When he is not flying for Cirrus Aviation, he enjoys hunting and fishing in the Henderson area, and he is particularly fond of hunting and fishing in Alaska. His other interests include training for and competing in marathons and triathlons.
